Everyday Stress
- Rush, Rush, Rush
- Deadlines
- Emergencies
- Obligations
- Responsibilities at work or with family, friends and self can all be very stressful
Traumatic Events like the loss of a loved one, a break up or divorce, a natural disaster or a violent act that turns your world upside down can traumatize your nervous system.
Signs of stress on the body can be muscle tension or pain, headaches, digestive troubles, hives, insomnia and anxiety just to name a few. The nervous system can be compromised due to the effects of stress, especially cumulative stress. The “Paper Tigers” (perceived dangers) can cause just as much damage as real dangers.
The nervous system naturally supplies energy to make the body run properly. When the nervous system is compromised the energy that feeds the body becomes constricted. Dr Julia assesses where the energy is blocked in the nervous system and treats the root cause so the energy can freely flow again. The cause could be emotional in origin or it could be due to a break in communication along the information pathways within the nervous system – either way Dr Julia can treat to correct it.
Stress Causing Digestive Problems
Patient, Dianne Green, talks about how Zone Healing relieved the affects of stress on her digestive system. Dr. Julia Lewis identified the triggers (both emotional and allergy related). The treatments relieved Dianne’s abdominal pain and her digestion has greatly improved. The side benefit is she is calmer, better able to handle the stresses in her life.
