Neurofeedback
Science once believed that once the brain was injured stayed that way. Now they know the brain does in fact have the amazing ability to rewire itself!
When the brain experiences an injury, the electrical impulse patterns start to misfire. It is possible to give the brain a therapeutic training exercise that guides it to change the firing pattern toward a more “normal” pattern.
Dr. Lewis offers a state-of-the-art technology called EEG Neurofeedback that assists the brain to repair itself. It allows the patient to see their actual brainwave patterns as they are happening and to do a therapeutic training exercise which can strengthen existing electrical impulse pathways or create new pathways in their brain.
Steve Broeker tells about how Neurofeedback Training helped his Dad after brain surgery. Before treatment his Dad had trouble with speech and forming sentences. Afterwards, the 70+ year old was able to return to an active lifestyle including teaching part-time and tutoring high school students.

When you give the brain information about itself, it has a tremendous ability to change. Neurofeedback training makes information available to the brain almost instantly and since there is virtually no delay, there is greater accuracy in treatment.
As the brain rewires to a more normal firing pattern, the person also experiences more normal activity and behavior. The brain learns to increase the specific brainwaves that are helpful for improved function and decrease the brainwaves that cause interference. These improvements become permanent as a result of the trainings.
Dr. Lewis has been using the EEG Neuropathways Neurofeedback equipment with great success since 1999. This amazing technology was created by Dr. Margaret Ayers, a leading researcher in the field of Neurofeedback. Dr. Ayers understood how slow-moving brainwave activity could dramatically compromise normal brain function. She utilized NASA technology to accurately track brainwave activity so that instantaneous corrections could be made during the training session to reinforce or create healthy pathways.
Dr. Lewis was personally trained by Dr. Margaret Ayers to utilize this revolutionary technology to improve brain function.
